Right now, too many queer and trans youth are navigating isolation without safe, creative spaces to land. Calgary Queer Arts Society (CQAS) is working to change that—through programs like Remix Youth Camps and barrier-free community arts experiences like our Intergenerational Arts Club, CQAS brings young people together to create, express, and find a sense of belonging.
Your donation helps remove barriers to participation - covering things like program fees, transit, meals, and artist honoraria—so that every young person can show up fully, regardless of income.
From now until April 30, donations made through the Crowdfunding Alberta program are matched - increasing your impact by 50%. That means, your gift of $1000 today is matched by an additional $500 from the Province of Alberta!
CQAS is a community-led charity supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ artists and audiences through film, performance, workshops, and storytelling spaces. At its core, this work is about reducing loneliness and ensuring every young person can find their voice and their place in community, no matter their financial reality.

Monthly Giving
To continue the programs that so many have grown to rely on and others have yet to discover, we invite you to make a donation. Align your support with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and offer encouragement to someone whose life will be changed thanks to your donation.
We're pleased to offer donors the option to make a monthly gift and provide you with the convenient choice of debiting your bank account or credit card on the same date each month. It's so easy! Your gift can automatically be deducted from your account, and there are no fees. The beauty of monthly giving is that it allows Calgary Queer Arts Society to budget for the year ahead knowing that ongoing donor support can be counted on.
Planning Giving
A planned gift to Calgary Queer Arts Society can take many forms – making a meaningful contribution to your community and the people you love, and helping you address a variety of personal financial goals at the same time. You might want to make a significant gift during your lifetime, or as part of your estate. We can work with you and your advisors to create a gift plan.
A Bequest in Your Will
You may choose to bequest a portion of your estate to a specific Calgary Queer Arts Society program, or to the general operating of the organization. Bequests allow you to maintain control over your estate throughout your lifetime and beyond.
Gifts of Securities
Gifts of publicly traded securities have increased considerably since the Federal Government decreased the tax on capital gains.
Gifts of Life Insurance Policies
You can make a very significant gift to Calgary Queer Arts Society without great expense by donating a new insurance policy or an existing policy that you no longer need.
Gifts of Property
Gifts of real estate, works of art and other tangible assets may be made as a current donation or through your will. You may also decide that you or your beneficiaries retain use of that particular asset for your or their lifetimes.
Charitable Gift Annuities
You may purchase an annuity, whereby you or a beneficiary realizes a guaranteed income payment for life and a portion is donated to Calgary Queer Arts Society.
Charitable Remainder Trusts
Transfer cash or other assets to a trust, and receive or designate a fixed payment or interest income. Following your death, the assets in the trust become the property of Calgary Queer Arts Society.
