Welcoming Norton Rose Fulbright to the Calgary Queer Arts Society Family

At Calgary Queer Arts Society, we facilitate essential discussions about diversity, inclusion, and issues surrounding the LGBTQ2A+ community through the use of film. Since 2009, thousands of Albertans have been inspired and educated through our OUTReels Diversity Education Program, which promotes compassion and empathy.

Our unique approach brings the discussion to your school, workplace, or community centre. We provide all necessary equipment for the screening and collaborate with you in designing a program that will have a lasting impact on your group/organization.

We are thrilled to announce Norton Rose Fulbright as the 2018 title sponsor for our OUTReels Diversity Education Program.

“Norton Rose Fulbright is proud to be the presenting title sponsor of the OUTReels Diversity Education Program, as the Calgary Queer Arts Society celebrates its 20th year. At Norton Rose Fulbright, we strive to create an inclusive culture where our people have a sense of belonging and can bring their whole selves to work. We value diversity and inclusion, and the benefits diverse teams bring to our clients.
The OUTReels program already provides diversity training to many of our clients and some of Alberta’s largest employers, promoting discussion and understanding of issues facing the LGBTQ2A+ community. With an ever-changing environment in schools and workplaces, we look forward to promoting the OUTReels program in facilitating discussion and inclusivity around new legislation.”

- Lucy L’Hirondelle, Norton Rose Fulbright Canada

Because of Norton Rose Fulbright’s generous support, we are able to grow OUTReels and bring the program to many more communities throughout Alberta.

"Diversity Education is being sought out by new allies of the queer community now more than ever. It is encouraging to see organizations such as Norton Rose Fulbright participating in bringing this kind of education not only to their staff and associates but also providing opportunities, as a sponsor of the program, for provincial outreach to under resourced communities. This is a great example of ally-ship in action and we are very much looking forward working together as our programming expands," says James Demers, Executive Director, Calgary Queer Arts Society.
