Lethbridge Pride Events
The Fairy Tales Presentation Society is travelling all across Alberta for the upcoming Pride Season! With Lethbridge Pride Fest happening all week long, we’re putting on a couple of exciting events this week. Here’s a sneak peak of what’s coming up:
A Screening of Two Soft Things, Two Hard Things
When: Wednesday, June 21st, 2017 Time: 7:00 PM Where: The Lethbridge Public Library (810 5 Ave S, Lethbridge AB)
Coming off of its showing at the 2017 Fairy Tales Film Festival in Calgary, AB, Two Soft Things, Two Hard things is a documentary about the small, but quickly-growing LGBTQ+ community in Nunavut. The film examines the establishment of a Pride Festival for the territorial capital Iqaluit, and the historical context of LGBTQ+ identity among the Inuit.
If you can’t make it to the screening, don’t worry! We’ll be back at the Lethbridge Public Library on with a special presentation of:
The Coming Out Monologues – YYC
When: Thursday, June 22nd, 2017 Time: 7:30 PM Where: The Lethbridge Public Library (810 5 Ave S, Lethbridge AB)
The Coming out Monologues, YYC is a celebration of community that brings a diverse selection of spoken word, movement, and musical pieces to the stage, and allows members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies to tell their personal stories. We’re thrilled to be down in Lethbridge to share our stories with all of you!
We hope that you can come out and join us for either of these great events!
